Publishing guidelines

The Platform Center for Sustainable Development welcomes the submission of you policy papers and articles for publication according to the rules listed below:
Main requirements
  • The paper or article must not have been published or submitted for publication in another center or platform.
  • The paper or article must adhere to the approved structure of the center.
  • The paper or article should include data, statistics, and information from official, accredited sources or reputable surveys.
  • The paper or article should address an issue or problem and propose a feasible and desirable solution.

  • Administrative and institutional reform

    All figures and tables must be created using Word or Excel and not included as images. additionally, include all tables used in creating figures .

    a (200-300) words section explaining (the problem and the paper's objectives relevant to policy-making.

    background
    a section of No more than (500) words explaining the background of the topic, its roots, and its impact on relevant sectors, including statistics and flow charts.

    Policy Alternatives
    In no more than (500) words explaining the proposed alternatives and their effectiveness and discussing the most appropriate alternative, including statistics, tables and flow charts, the mechanism for implementing the alternative, how do we finance the policy alternative, asking who is harmed and who benefits from the alternative, it is possible to present a summary of international experiences or successful examples. .

    Feasibility of the alternative
    Within (250-300) words, what alternative will be provided at the level of the system, culture, and actors?

    Conclusion
    Not to exceed one page that includes the most important conclusions and recommendations that the paper focuses on.

    Structure of writing articles

    Not more than (400-500) words focusing on the basic ideas of the article while briefly discussing the current reality and mentioning some evidence and facts related to the topic or that support the opinion within the article (it is preferable to divide the content into short, focused, logically sequential sections). It must also include: At least one figure or table.

    Conclusion
    (100-150) words in which you focus on the conclusions, suggestions, or possible alternatives by linking them to the main topic (the last section in the conclusion must be linked to the basic idea of the article). The conclusion must also summarize the entire article in a coherent manner.
