PSDIraq is actively engaging with experts as part of its ongoing series of sessions in the Iraq Policy Program. Two significant discussions were held with Dr. Bushra Al-Zawaini on women’s issues and Dr. Haider Al-Munshi on climate change, specifically for participants from the Baghdad group.

The session with Dr. Bushra Al-Zawaini focused on exploring and addressing key challenges faced by women in Iraq. Participants had the opportunity to engage in a comprehensive dialogue about women’s empowerment and strategies for promoting inclusivity in various aspects of Iraqi society. In a separate session, Dr. Haider Al-Manshi led discussions on the pressing issue of climate change and its implications for Iraq. The participants had the opportunity to delve into the environmental challenges facing the country, such as rising temperatures, water scarcity, and the impact on agriculture and natural resources. Dr. Al-Manshi emphasized the need for effective mitigation and adaptation strategies, stressing the importance of incorporating climate considerations into policy frameworks and decision-making processes.
